Just a little reminder that book club is next week (Tuesday 2/2) at Rhonda's house. We are discussing the books The Hunger Games and Push. If you haven't read the books they are both very quick reads! We hope to see everyone there even if you haven't read the books!

I worked til 11pm last night (17 hour day)...blagh...so sorry to miss book club. Cant wait to hear the update and what the new book selection is. I thought Push will be a classic in African American Lit, it was really poetic as well as brutal. And Hunger Games, well, you know I enjoyed that. The sequel was just okay, not as good...but I'll still read the third installment.

Valesca, we were sorry you couldn't make it. Heather is going to put the recap together, but I fir one, really liked both books. I am anxious fro the third book to come out. WE poicked March 16th for our next meeting but I need to move it to March 23rd.I have an event at CSUN on the 16th. I didn't realize I had an event on Feb 2 but missed that one due to this last book club. Bummer.
It's only coming out in August.... :-(
Another great book to read is "City of Thieves" by David Benioff...I think I mentioned it before, but I enjoyed it immensely.
